Stripped, Scared, and Sacred: Episode 5

Viva Las Fear Street!
In which we discuss such random topics as BHoF, degrassi high, bad 90s fashion, and spooky books we used to read when we were young.

Also, a super huge shout out to the ever wonderful Steve and John Power Hour! This podcast is hilarious and you should all listen to it after you're done listening to ours.

  1. Degrassi high rules. That flower pot falling during the opening sequence's song: Mesmerising.

    1. I was always intrigued by the denim-clad ass at the end.

  2. Re: dismissing Arthur from Degrassi's appeal because he was "ginger and fat" seems a little double-standardish for a neo-burlesque podcast, no? I cannot recall a kinder dude from the show. I appreciate we all have preferences of body types, but where's the love for all the chubby boys trying to survive high school?

    2. Also, sometimes I have 'exciting' dreams and wake to find I've wet my underpants. Am I crazy or perverted? : )

    3. Okay, fair enough, actually! Arthur was indeed one of the sweetest people in the entire run of the program, and I think we can all agree he was a stand-up dude.

To be serious for a moment - something I so rarely am on the podcast - ALL kids who feel 'different' face torment in high school especially, and that was insensitive of us as human beings. While body image is generally a more complicated thing for women due to a couple thousand years of cultural bullshittery, poor ginger chubby kids DO deserve love too. So let's hear it for Arthur!

...But Snake is still more awesome.
